How’s the new year going for you so far? Looking for something to do to get the year started in style? We’ve got five more upcoming events in Toronto that’d be perfect to get high for!
The first few months of the new year tend to be a bit of a bore. Luckily for you, Chronic Haze is always at the forefront of events in Toronto. And, as always, feel free to get baked before any of these events.
An Ironic Screening of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
Hey, did you know that this Friday is Friday the 13th? Even if you’re not the superstitious type, celebrate the day in style at a special screening of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
While it technically isn’t the final chapter in the series, it’s still an important addition to the continuity. It’s also an incredibly divisive film; Roger Ebert called it “an immoral and reprehensible piece of trash.” Conversely, Entertainment Weekly called it the best film in the series.
The screening is at the Fox Theatre at 7:15 pm, so buy your ticket soon if you’re hoping to catch Jason Voorhees in action. And if you’re looking to get high before (of course you are), try our new Live Resin Disposable Vape by Pegasus420. It’s their best product yet, and it’ll be easy to hit while you’re in the theatre (not that we’re suggesting that).
Enjoy Infused Cocktails and Fun Activities at Green Merchant
Interested in trying a new form of cannabis consumption? Or just looking to mingle with some like-minded people?
Green Merchant in Liberty Village is hosting a special event in their lounge. All weekend, visitors can come in and enjoy some THC-infused cocktails with other cannabis users. There’ll also be board games, colouring books, TVs, and an assortment of refreshments to keep you busy. The event has multiple timeslots all weekend, running from 12 pm-8 pm on Friday and 12 pm-10 pm Saturday and Sunday. Best of all, it’s totally free!
By the way, if you’re hoping to bring some good stuff with you to the event, we suggest our newly added Runtz Cake. Its balanced ratio and moderate THC level will get you to a good place while you sip infused cocktails through the evening.
Soak Up Some Art at the Stephen Bulger Gallery
If you’re a big art lover, be sure to stop by the Stephen Bulger Gallery. Starting this weekend, you’ll be able to catch two photography exhibitions of work by Quebecois artist John Max.
John Max was a photographer and photojournalist known for his very personal and expressive works. The event promises to be a poignant examination of the human condition. If you’re looking to really feel those emotions, try some high-dose Shatter Bars before. Cannabis really does bring out the best in art, after all.
The event runs from 11 am-6 pm on Saturday. Don’t worry if you miss it though; the event runs until the end of February, so you’ve got plenty of time to catch it before it goes.
The Next Installation of the Cannabis Comedy Festival
Once again, Cannabis Comedy Festival is hosting an event at Mystic Tea House. With the pandemic restrictions finally loosening up, cannabis comedy shows have been back in full force. And this event surely won’t disappoint.
As always, it’ll be an experience and a half, with stellar acts in store for the audience and prizes for contestants. The event is only for attendees 19 and older, though. Sorry to any young’uns reading this.
If you’re thinking about going, then hurry! Tickets are close to being sold out, so secure your spot as soon as you can! And if you are going, bring something good with you. Chronic Haze has just stocked up on legendary strain Pineapple Express. Aside from just being a great strain, it’ll be a great conversation starter as you mingle with the other cannabis users you meet there.
A Mind-Bending Magic Act at The Rec Room
Finally, if you’re looking to have your mind blown, consider stopping by The Rec Room. While it’s usually a solid place in its own right to hang out and play games, they’re running a magic show called Mystery & Magic that you’re not gonna wanna miss.
The mentalist group Beyond Mental Borders will be the main event, tantalizing audiences with illusions and tricks beyond your wildest imagination. Some Buudabombs will make for the perfect accompaniment for this evening of magical wonders.
The event runs on Sunday from 7:30 pm-9:00 pm, so it’ll be the perfect way to end your weekend. Grab your tickets while you still can!
