Looking for something to listen to? Today, we’re bringing you another 5 albums to listen to while high!
Listening to music while high is always a trip. You might notice something new about a song you’ve already heard. Sometimes, getting high can help ease you into new songs or genres that you wouldn’t have been crazy about while you were sober.
If you’re anything like me, it’s easy to get bored with what you’re listening to. Fortunately, Chronic Haze has another five album recommendations for you today. Clean out those ears and roll one up, you’re gonna wanna check these out.
SZA – SOS (2022)
If you haven’t already checked out SZA’s latest contribution, you’re definitely missing out. This eclectic mix of songs has cemented SZA as a creative force in the realm of popular music, drawing from various genres such as alternative rock, country, and jazz while staying true to her hip hop and R&B sound. SOS is perfectly complemented by a sativa like Black Cherry Soda, a strain with a fruity taste and an uplifting, euphoric effect.
Explosions in the Sky – The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place (2003)
If you’re looking for something a little more meditative, this classic post-rock record will be an instant favourite of yours. The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place consists of a series of atmospheric instrumentals that blend into a wave of beauty and grandiosity. It’s the kind of music that really makes life feel worth living for. It’s also a good pairing with our Turbo Lemon Cake, an intense sativa known for its mood and creativity-boosting effects.
Vince Staples – Vince Staples (2021)
For something a little more conventional, check out Vince Staples’ self-titled album. Staples needs no introduction at this point, having numerous critically acclaimed releases under his belt. This entry is no different, with production handled entirely by renowned producer Kenny Beats. The result is a series of mellow beats accented by Vince’s blunt and serious delivery. It’s great alongside our Pink Poison, an indica-leaning hybrid known to couch-lock its users.
Twin Peaks – Wild Onion (2014)
No, I’m not talking about the show. A personal favourite of mine from college, this garage rock record is one of the best in their lineup. A mix of genres that can get weird and goofy sometimes, Wild Onion is made by stoners for stoners. The best part of all is it doesn’t even seem like the band is trying that hard, they’re just having a good time. For a record like this, you definitely listen to it alongside some Pink Comatose OG, a strain known for being calming and relaxing while also euphoric and uplifting.
Danger Mouse and Black Thought – Cheat Codes (2022)
Rounding off this list is Cheat Codes, the collab between accomplished musician and producer Danger Mouse, and emcee Black Thought of the Roots. This long-awaited project has been in the works for years, and has received critical acclaim from reviewers. With hard-hitting bars from Black Thought atop Danger Mouse’s soulful, moody, and trippy beats, this one is an instant classic. Listen to it alongside some Wedding Cake, a strain by Green Giant’s Garden known for making users feel euphoric and relaxed.
