Today, Chronic Haze brings you another 5 shows to watch while high!

If you’re anything like me, it can be tough to find something good to watch while you’re high. Contrary to popular belief, getting high doesn’t always make you enjoy whatever you’re watching. Oftentimes, getting high can make you a harsher critic than you already were.

That’s why Chronic Haze is here with another five shows to watch while high. Check these out next time you’re bored!

Workaholics (2011-2017)

If you’re a cannabis user, chances are you’ve already seen this show once or twice. Workaholics stars Adam DeVine, Blake Anderson, and Anders Holm as three college dropouts who work as telemarketers. Their lazy attitudes get them into a whole bunch of messes, and as you can see from the intro, they’re all big potheads.

With a great script written by its lead cast, this show’s an easy pick if you want something that’s just pure laughs. A review by The A.V. Club described it as an adult version of Ed, Edd n Eddy, so definitely check it out if that’s your jam. Overall, it’s a goofy and lighthearted show that is best enjoyed after some Turbo Lemon Cake.

Wilfred (2011-2014)

Another great stoner bro comedy. Wilfred stars accomplished actor Elijah Wood as Ryan, a depressed ex-lawyer who is able to talk to his neighbour’s dog. The eponymous Wilfred, played by Jason Gann, is seen as a man in a dog suit, spewing vulgarities and constantly ripping his bong. Over the course of the show, Ryan learns some life lessons from Wilfred, which help him to create overall change in his life.

Similarly to The Office, this show is actually an American adaptation of another show. The original was an Australian show that aired from 2007-2010, once again starring Jason Gann as Wilfred. Whichever version you go with, you’re in for a great time. Be sure to hit some Pineapple Express before!

Big Mouth (2017- )

With spin-offs already in serialization, his show needs no introduction. But for those who don’t know, Big Mouth is an animated coming-of-age about a group of 7th graders going through puberty. Over the course of the show, the characters are visited by their “Hormone Monsters”, who are a source of both grief and solace.

Despite its over-the-top raunchiness, the show is actually surprisingly wholesome and serves as an introspective look at love and sexuality. It also features a star-studded cast with voices you may or may not recognize. If you haven’t already watched this show, give it a shot. Maybe after some Pink Goo?

Love Death + Robots (2019- )

Read as “Love, Death & Robots”, this adult animated series is an experimental anthology of different stories, and a sort of re-imagining of the 1981 film Heavy Metal. It uses a wide range of animation styles and borrows from a slew of other genres such as fantasy, horror, and sci-fi.

Overall, this show makes for an interesting and at times shocking look at a series of relationships that take place in a range of imaginative worlds. There’s a little something for everyone here, calling for a balanced strain like Gucci Pink.

High Maintenance (2012-2020)

For those that want something a little more real, definitely check out High Maintenance. This web series follows a cannabis dealer known only as “The Guy”, who services the citizens of Brooklyn with his products. The Guy mostly serves as a lens for the viewers as he encounters a swathe of clientele that range from the troubled to the unpleasant to the downright strange.

If you’re a fan of indie character-driven media, this is the show for you. It even features known stars such as Hannibal Buress, Nick Kroll, and Marta Stewart. It really hearkens back to the pre-legalization era, when you had to get your stuff from some “guy” in your neighbourhood. There’s an unforgettable scene where The Guy is on a bus with a cop, scared out of his mind. Really relatable for those who started smoking pre-legalization. Speaking of smoking, try some Mother of Berries before starting this show up!
