You’ll notice above that a lot of cannabis delivery service removed from Weedmaps Mississauga. Only a few lefts until the end of the month – November 30th, 2020.

Big Changes to Weedmaps.

For those of you who have been using Weedmaps regularly, you’ve may have notice something’s off or missing. From the amount of delivery vendors to some of the brands, Weedmaps has slowly been removing everyone from the list.

What’s Going on With Weedmaps?

Large cannabis retailer was against the competition of other cannabis delivery services on Weedmaps. They requested the RCMP to tackle Weedmaps to take off other delivery marijuana operators off their popular online platform. It was petitioned by eight cannabis retailers which includes High Tide Inc and Superette Inc. They pushed the letter of request to shut down cannabis deliveries across Canada to RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki and Deputy Commissioner Michael Duheme.

This movement was already foreseen back in January 2020 when Weedmaps did the same removal process in United States. Nonetheless, sooner or later this action would catch up to Weedmaps Canada and it did. 

Why Did This Happen?

For those who don’t know, cannabis delivery is not permitted by the Government. Cannabis must be sold in a brick and motor store. With Covid-19 restrictions, customers can order online only for pick-up (curbside). There’s no legal option to stay at home and have it delivered straight to your door and at the comfort of your own home. I

If you put 2 and 2 together. Brick and Motor cannabis stores are not making money from cannabis delivery companies because of the competition provided. 

What Happens Now with Chronic Haze?

Moving forward, you’ll notice that Chronic Haze and other cannabis delivery companies will no longer be on Weedmaps because of legal competition. 

Chronic Haze will search out other platforms to promote our amazing service. Sooner or later another platform as big as Weedmaps will appear and when that happens, you’ll definitely find us on top.
