Summer is finally here. The sun is shining, and it’s time to be out with your friends enjoying yourself. Fortunately, Toronto is a city with a lot going on. There’s plenty to do and something to appeal to everyone. And you can be sure we’ve found the perfect events to be high for.
So, without further ado, here are five events you need to hit up after getting high this month.
Smorgasburg Toronto

Looking to spice up your munchies game? Smorgasburg, the largest food market in America, is returning to Toronto this year. Every Saturday from 11 am-6 pm, you’ll be able to grab some new and interesting eats from the many vendors setting up shop. Smorgasburg runs from June 24-July 29, and again from August 5-September 9. It’s the perfect event for foodies and hungry stoners alike!
Afrofest 2023

If you’re looking for good vibes, be sure to stop by this year’s Afrofest at Woodbine Park. This celebration of African music features a number of talented performers, and seeks to build an inclusive, diverse, and positive community through the appreciation of African culture. The event runs from July 7-9 and is open to all ages. And best of all, it’s entirely free!
Toronto Ribfest 2023

We’ve got some more munchies for you! Make sure to hit up Toronto Ribfest at Yonge-Dundas Square from July 14 and 15 from 12 pm-11 pm, and July 16 from 12 pm-9 pm. Ribs and beer abound at this annual festival, allowing you to get as full and crunk as you can this weekend. You can also hit up Downsview Park on July 14 for the Halal variant of the festival. And this one’s totally free, as well!
King Krule at History

For fans of alternative, or anyone looking for chill music to get stoned to, the legendary King Krule will be playing at History on July 25. This show is hot off the release of his new album, Space Heavy, and is sure to be a raging time. If you don’t already know the Oozemaster but you’re a fan of lo-fi, beachy guitar music, definitely check out this show.
ROM After Dark: Liberty

If you’re looking for something a little out of the ordinary, the ROM’s monthly After Dark experience should be at the top of your list. Every month, the ROM runs a special event from 7:30 pm-11:30 pm that turns the museum into an experiential event, featuring DJs, food and drinks, and much more. The next event, “Liberty,” is slated to take place on July 28 and will celebrate black culture in Canada. Tickets are $40 and sell out quickly, so buy your ticket while you can!
