Today, Chronic Haze is going to show you how to make cannabis firecrackers!
For those that don’t know, firecrackers are easy-to-make but highly potent edibles that people have been making for ages. They’re kinda like a cross between a s’more and a peanut butter cup, but with weed. They were popular in the days of pre-legalization, but are still a great way to get your fix these days.

However, it’s always fun to make your own edibles, especially when they’re this easy. And it’s a perfect way to get through that shake. They’re just the thing to help you beat those Monday blues. If you’re looking to try these bad boys yourself, follow the steps outlined below.

What You’ll Need
Firecrackers are pretty minimalist. You don’t need a whole lot to get them started. All you’ll need is:
- An oven
- Tin foil
- A tray or baking sheet
- Crackers (graham or saltine crackers both work fine)
- Peanut butter or Nutella, or something else fat-soluble; you could even try these if you wanna get really baked
- Cannabis flower; we suggest our versatile White Rhino strain
Once all that’s ready, it’s time to get started making your firecrackers.
Step 1: Decarb Your Cannabis
As always, you need to decarboxylate your cannabis before it’s ready. This means you need to heat enough for the cannabinoids to activate. Preheat your oven to 120°C (250°F), and start grinding your cannabis. Once that’s done, spread it evenly over a tin foil-lined tray and pop that in the oven for 10 minutes.
Step 2: Prep Your Crackers
Pull out your crackers and your peanut butter (or another fat-soluble ingredient) and spread the peanut butter evenly over the crackers. You’ll want to make sure you use enough for the next step to go smoothly.
Step 3: Throw in Your Weed!
Once your cannabis is done decarbing, pull out the tray and start sprinkling a reasonable amount evenly over the peanut butter, and give it 15-20 minutes to set in. Use a toothpick or another tool to properly spread it if you feel the need. The fat-soluble ingredient will absorb the cannabinoids from your decarboxylated bud, allowing you to get high from it by eating it!
Step 4 (Optional): Sandwich and Re-Heat!
If you’ve finished Step 3, you can go ahead and eat your firecrackers if you want. Or, if you want ‘em to turn out really good, sandwich your firecrackers together. Turn your oven up to 150°C (300°F) and throw your firecracker sandwiches back into the oven for 15 minutes. This allows the cannabinoids to fully incorporate with your fat-soluble ingredient.
And You’re Done!
So, what do you think? Easy, right? Firecrackers are a great way to get some novelty out of your sesh. Just remember to wait for a bit before consuming a second one. They can get pretty gnarly.
